In order to give more safety for pedestrian from the motorcycle, sidewalk on Jalan Perdatam Raya, Pancoran Urban Village, South Jakarta will be improved by adding kanstine (divider between road and sidewalk). Agustio Ruhuseto, South Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Bina Marga said so, Thusrday (8/13).
It is hoped the project could be done in two days by deploying 10 Pancoran Sub-district Bina Marga officers
According to him, the effort is a respond from citizen's report. "The citizens reported to us about the sidewalk condition. Motorcycle often hijack the pedestrian's right," he said.
His side improved the sidewalk along 15-20 meter by replacing the old concrete block with the new ones.
